The only downside to visiting this park, especially on weekends is finding parking around the park. Other than that the vibe is always good and you can find all sorts of junk food around. Nice walk around, looking at the ducks, turtles etc and you can rent boats in the shape of geese by the hour.
I have been living in Echo years before anyone even realized that gentrification was underway because from the way the Park looks now, it might be hard to imagine how dangerous it was and if you weren't Mexican then you had absolutely no business stepping foot into it but fast forward 15-20 years (to the present day and you will see that anything is possible, Echo Park is currently one of the most beautiful parks that Los Angeles county has to offer while the surface of the entire body of water has something that is so rare and almost impossible to find anywhere in the world but because of the the unique climate Echo Park has to offer, the beautiful Lotus flower is celebrated annually in the park itself by the well known Lotus Flower festival during which all the flowers that are on the water will bloom and people will do just about anything to get there hands on one including, going to jail and paying a seriously hefty fine.
Beautiful days happen here. Always a vibe going. If you wanna take a run, read a book by the water and watch nature, this is the park. With a running trail around the pond you can excape a little, reading a book in nice in the shade of the trees there. So enjoy this park
Although this is small lake, it has an abundant ecology. I took swan boat on it. There are many wild area on the lake to grow plants and has many ducks there. This is a very beautiful place. Lots of birds here and they are not afraid of people. It's shock when you see a duck standing beside you!
Pretty lake/park. Located centrally in a very diverse area. Nice to relax and walk around with family, friends, partner, or by yourself. Just be weary of homeless people. I mean - most of them do no harm but it really just is off putting sometimes. The lake itself is relaxing with the swans and ducks. Sunsets and sunrises are plain beautiful to see here. Sometimes they’ll have events going on here which is great to bring little ones too as well. Parking can be hard as it’s all street parking but you’ll eventually find a spot. 10 min from Dodgers stadium as well.
