  Dog park here is totally unpretentious. So much better than other dog parks in Los Angeles

  Huge approximately 5 sq miles of park, socar, cricket, baseball, hiking trails, golfing, 2 lakes one you can fish and ride boat and walk around. Also there is a huge miniature model airplane remote controlled runway. Excellent for gatherings and festivals. During weekdays you will often see TV and movies filming. Permits to have area for parties needed but it's free. All ages will find fun.

  The basin offers a unique urban experience, a wildlife refuge with local birds and species which are passing through.

  The park is very lush and also has a jungle gym for kids of all ages.
  The view looks exactly like this PlayStation server, 'PlayStation Home', even down to the duck water ride!
  I gave it 4 ????s because the water is dirty. But then again, it's for ducks, not for ????. ☺

  This is a great place for all kinds of recreation. The only time you have to avoid it is during rain storms, and that's because it's underwater at that point. It is after all a flood control area. But the lake, the bike path, the multiple parks, and even the golf courses I don't use make this area special.
