I would recommend Kimono SK to anyone! We worked with Kimono sk for our son's 357 photos. They were so patient and understanding with us despite our toddler having a lot of trouble during the entire photo shoot. They went above and beyond to ensure we got some good photos and helped him cheer up. They're also really knowledgeable about kimonos and what looks best. They also have an awesome variety of backgrounds and kimonos, even for small toddlers! We're so happy to have worked with them!

Sueko and Kentaro are just astonishingly detailed and professional with their approach and commitment to providing quality service! My fiancé and I were thrilled to see the results of their photo shoot and could not recommend them enough. Throughout the shoot, they were meticulous, thorough, and exceptionally courteous. Wow! Kentaro-san & Sueko-san are an amazingly organized, professional & efficient duo. Almost 5 years ago I booked them for my daughter’s shichi-go-san photos. I loved the pictures so much I couldn’t wait to book them for my daughter & son’s shichi-go-san photos – and this time I also took part in dressing in a houmongi and having my hair and make-up done by Sueko-san. I absolutely LOVED the results!!
I was provided with a rough timeline of the day, which was quite accurate – speaks to their level of experience. Dressing 3 people, hair and make-up for 2 and individual/family photos seemed like quite a feat to me but they pulled it off without a hitch. Honestly going into it I was nervous (you know how 5-year old boys can be!). They were so calm and made my children feel at ease, Kentaro-san delivered my entire photoshoot via Google Photos the same evening – what amazing customer service.

My daughter and I had the most amazing experience at Kimono SK, while on a Mother-Daughter Spring Break trip in the Los Angeles area. During this trip, I wanted my 10 year old daughter to connect with her Japanese American heritage and the cornerstone of that was to have a belated Shichi-Go-San portrait, complete with kimono dressing, hair and makeup. Throughout the whole process - from the early stages of correspondence via e-mail, through on-site - both Sueko and Kentaro were warm, patient, professional, and friendly. We were impressed by Sueko's expertise in the intricate kimono styling as well as her hair and make-up artistry. Kentaro was the perfect guide and expert photographer. We are in love with all of the images of my daughter's kimono photoshoot, thank goodness all of the digital images in the gallery are included in the package, it is difficult to pick our favorites! We will definitely be back for Leila's Coming-of-Age portrait; next time, we will add-on kimono styling for me as well! Thank you for making this such a memorable and favorite part of our trip!

Kentaro-san & Sueko-san are the best! We came for our son's 753 pictures, and the whole experience was spectacular! It was easy to get an appointment. The service was outstanding, and they have many beautiful kimonos. Kentaro-san and Sueko-san are attentive, professional, and great with children. They made my son feel like a movie star; he had so much fun! We are definitely coming back for our daughter's pictures. We highly recommend Kimono SK; it is just EXCELLENT!
