So sorry for the maintenance man. It’s his 2nd day cleaning the Easter Sunday trash. Beautiful park but people abuse the privileges for not picking their trash.
I’m in Key Club, which is basically a high school community service organization that focuses on building leadership and service and every month, my division holds an event at this park and I just made a lot of good memories here. Dearborn Park has been the universal park for the majority of my friends hangouts because it’s location is the perfect distance between all of our homes. The park itself is mid and like any other park but I think it’s still very special and dear to my heart.
I grew up in this area, they cleaned this park up so much. I'm a 90's kid so this park used to be know for overnight hangouts. Due to the low lighting, they managed to provide a much cleaner environment, more lights, more play options. Two areas separated for specific ages. Big enough to have a nice birthday party and BBQ.
!¡*****There is one down side. There is only 1 restroom. Unisex, not one men's and one woman. Nope just the 1.
Aside from that, great pit stop to get rid of an hour or two and tire those young ones out, just in time for bed time. I have 4, trust me.. it works. 😂
Spacious and great for events. Very busy almost every weekend so I would plan events for weekdays whenever possible. Has basketball courts and is a safe location. Lots of parking and great for exercising or just relaxing with the family. Amazing for dog walks as well!
