  Two months after my son was born, his skin started to show signs of eczema. Doctors told me it was going to go away and not to worry. As he got older, it got extremely bad and I had to get some kind of treatment for him. Doctors prescribed steroids for the eczema and antibiotics for his reoccurring staph. Steroids worked most of the time but then they began to lose their effectiveness and the doctor wanted to go stronger. I did not want to do it. I went with a nutritionist to take a more natural route. I was making him all sorts of tinctures, creams etc, nothing was working. By 14 months, I spent SO much money, tried EVERYTHING people recommended and nothing worked. To make things worse, staph covered his entire body. It was a nightmare. My sister then told me about a woman named Toni who was helping her at yin and yang dermatology. I was skeptical because i didn’t believe in Chinese medicine. For four months she begged me to go and finally i did. Well all i can say is that Toni saved me emotionally ( bc i cried daily looking at my son scratch and cry) and him physically because his skin is completely clear now. I saw results after a month and now it’s been 4 months and he’s a different child. I can’t speak enough about how wonderful Toni is and how amazing her baths and salves are. Please do yourself a favor, if you struggle with eczema, go see Toni!!

  Writing a review is the least I can do for someone who has completely helped my life turn around for the better. I had severe sebhorric dermatitis which was drying and flaking of the skin especially in the areas around the nose eyebrows and mouth. My life was completely different when I had a flare up and my confidence was completely shot.
  
  I was very insecure for the first time in my life and struggled going out and socializing and doing the normal daily routines that I had done for the past couple years. I struggled doing the normal day to day which caused a lot of avenues in my life to diminish and I felt like because of my skin, I was trapped.
  
  I had tried EVERYTHING to get rid of my skin condition but nothing seemed to work. I tried three different dermatologist, countless prescription topical ointments, antibiotics, and light steroids. Nothing worked. My skin actually seemed to get worse and my flare ups became more common. At this point I literately felt like giving up on it and accepting that I would have terrible, dry skin forever.
  
  That day I happened to stumble upon Yin Yang Dermotology and Antonia Balfour. I was instantly intrigued by their approach to skincare through holistic, natural means. To me, it was so different than ANYTHING I had tried previously and I was willing to give my skin one last shot.
  
  I decided to make an appointment with Toni the next week. I showed up and instantly felt comfortable in their welcoming, soothing office. And when I met with Toni she was so nice and understanding and I could tell she truly cared for what I was going through and payed attention to the details I was describing to her. She was also the first doctor to ask about my daily routines, what I was doing that may have triggered these flare ups, what I was eating, drinking, how much time I spent going out, etc. And I felt that she actually listening to me rather than just writing me another BS blanket prescription like all the other dermatologist has done previously.
  
  After our meeting I was shipped three weeks worth of herbs that were fully customized to my needs and skin issues. And for someone who had tried everything I’d possibly heard of prior to Yin Yang of course I was skeptical. But I was willing to give it a shot and it was best decision I’ve ever made.
  
  After 5 days of drinking the herb teas morning and night, my skin was literally perfect. On day 1 I had terrible red flakiness all around my nose, eyebrows, mouth and chin area. By day 5 every single sore or dry patch WAS COMPLETELY GONE. I was actually extremely thrown off by the speed in which it kicked in and help heal my skin.
  
  Since the day I have started the Teas I have not had one single flare up! My skin has actually never been this nice before.
  
  I know everyone’s skin is different but my sebbhoric Dermatitis has now been completely eradicated because of these teas and the expertise of Yin Yang Dermotology.
  
  My confidence has totally come back and I have been able to enjoy the day to day activities I used to do with complete comfortably and enjoyment. I’m actually able to live stress free about my skin and it’s been the most liberating of experiences.
  
  I’m so thankful for Yin yang and their approach to skin care. For anyone insecure, curious, or frustrated with their skin I highly recommend Yin Yang. It was the best decision I have made when it comes to skin care by far.

  Can’t say enough amazing things about this place! Toni has so much experience and knowledge about how to truly make your skin healthy from the inside out. Yin Yang Dermatology gives you long lasting results and I am so thankful that I came here. My skin has never looked better and I know I am doing it the right/healthy way, rather than using harmful products that don’t even truly work. It is if anything going to save you money compared to a regular dermatologist because it will truly work. It is worth every penny. If you really want to fix your skin or even just improve your overall well-being, come here!!!

  I've been undergoing herbal treatment with Toni for ~9 weeks now. We've been working on improving blood + Qi flow, as well as blood strengthening to help with what western Dermatology would diagnose as early signs of rosacea on the face, folliculitis on back/shoulders, and general blood circulation issues. Within the first week of taking the herbal teas, my skin conditions improved tremendously. The flareups/red hot skin inflammation I was experiencing on my face from light and sun exposure, and the chronic bruising and skin tenderness that I've had on my shins for years (that I thought I'd need to accept as my fate) have all but dissolved.
  
  There is no denying the effectiveness of the treatment as skin is something you can see. I'm thrilled I found Toni. The reason I was drawn to her over other TCM doctors in the area was because of her background in western Dermatology and her education/mentorships with TCM—a very holistic, well-rounded background. On top of that, it's incredibly comfortable to speak with her.
  
  I only deduct one star from the rating simply because of the cost + packaging. The herbs are much much pricier than what I'm used to, in part due to how they're processed & packaged. They're shipped in individually-packaged plastic pouches, to be consumed 2x/day and I wish they could be sent in one larger bottle or bag that the patient could measure out themselves for the individual portions. The plastic use just makes me cringe a little!
  
  Overall, a super positive experience thus far, and I intend on continuing treatment until I feel my condition has come back into balance.

  My experience with Toni at Yin Yang Dermatology has been amazing!! I am so grateful to have found her!! After discovering I had perioral dermatitis from a western dermatologist, I wanted to try and find a more natural approach to curing it rather than take the prescribed 2 months of hard core antibiotics! After finding an article Toni wrote regarding the condition I found the Yin Yang Dermatology website and literally read every article on there regarding PD (and the ones for eczema and rosacea too!) I knew I would be in good hands with Toni.
  
  Luckily for us that don't live in the area, she offers phone/skype consults. Before my first phone consult, I submitted photos to her online and she reviewed them prior to our discussion. In less than an hour we talked about my symptoms, and diet, and came up with a treatment plan. I was so excited to get my first batch of custom herbs! I started treatment as soon as I got them a few days later and truly started seeing and feeling results within a couple of days. It progressively got better each day until it was completely gone.
  
  Fast forward 5 months and my PD is still GONE! Even the western dermatologist said that I would have to deal with it forever (even if it went away with the prescribed antibiotics) because they don't have a cure.
  
  I'm am forever grateful to Toni. She is so sweet and incredibly easy to talk to, and most of all super reassuring and confident she will be able to help. She is truly amazing.
  
  When people tell me how nice my skin is now I let them know of my severe case of PD just so I can tell them about how Toni and her herbal concoctions healed me.
  
  **The "teas" do not taste good but it's no biggie, you get used to them. I found that my drinking them room temp through a straw helped me get them down very easy and quick!**
