I loved this lighthouse. Gorgeous with a great history. I highly recommend the tour. I will caution that the stairs leading to the top of the light house are very steep (as expected). However, it did make some people uncomfortable. A little claustrophobic but very interesting and full of historical facts and a beautiful view.
Located inside Pt Fermin Park. They have guided tour. The lighthouse is still in good shape. It looks like a regular house from outside. Some interesting history about it. I think it is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
This is such a gorgeous park. When you go here over looking to the ocean. It is so breath taking. The ocean is so beautiful and the people walking are always happy.
This is a beautiful place to gather your thoughts. Just a place to get away think and just enjoy watching the ocean the people. It is extremely relaxing.
I am in the US Coast Guard. I have seen many light houses and serviced them. This light house is a great historic addition to the wonderful surrounding scenery of the park. Many people come here to admire the lighthouse and it's antique features. I don't believe it is something to go crazy about but it just depends on what you are interested in seeing. There are other great light houses in southern california. This one is pretty good but there are more.
I showed up at 12:55 on a Wednesday afternoon and was able to get on the 1pm tour. I ended up getting an exclusive your since I was the only one there for a tour at that time. What a wonderful experience! I learned a lot, took some great pics, and really enjoyed my time. Glenn was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. Definitely recommend!
