Just don’t bother with the frozen pizza. Fresh is similar to back in Chicago, but they need to get in touch with Lou Malnati’s about par-baked / frozen pizza science. I’ve given it a shot too many times. Please update your instructions with complete and proper sentences + an expected total cooking time instead of what amounts to “just keep going till it’s right”

Whats with the sticker now having extra instructions? Just choose one or the other. If the pizza is soggy just pop it in at a different temp maybe covered or uncovered - keep cooking and get your kitchen thermometer out to insert into the pizza until it’s the “right temp” - doesn’t mention the target temperature. And nobody is trying to get a thermometer involved with pizza anyway.

Pretty solid when fresh though. So this was more of a heads up on the take home pies.

The next update to the instructions better be the addition of a QR code linking to a video of an Italian grandmother following each step as written. No cuts, I want to see how long this actually takes back in the old country 👵🤌

If you’ve ever felt homesick, you know what it’s like to find a little slice of home wherever you are. Granted coming from Chicago, I’ve found better places in L.A. for pizza. BUUUUT I was excited when I heard they would be serving Chicago style hot dogs. The closest thing I ever got to one out here was ordering the Polish at Pink’s (it’s not bad especially if you get it with the kraut!) so it was great to get some classic dogs nearby.

It brought back the nostalgia of walking along Lake Michigan and buying one from the hot dog cart. It was worth the trip up here from Hollywood. And made me appreciate having a bit of Chicago out here. Even if it’s a franchise!

The Italian beef sandwich, dipped, with sweet peppers, is the way to go!! (That's how we eat it in Chicago where I was raised) The sides are good too. I like the Pub style potato chips. The Tiramisu is huge. One order will easily please two people.

It's nice when a famous restaurant from another state opens up in California and shares their cuisine. The entrance is a bit off putting, feeling tight and claustrophobic. But when you enter into the dining area you're almost transported to Chicago. The seating and bar areas are plucked straight out of their restaurants. We ordered pick up and arrived on time but our order wasn't ready. Once the orders were ready I was reminded of how heavy these pizzas could be. The Chicago Deep Dish Pizza was outstanding. Each bite was a reminiscent glimpses of a time in Chicago, an amazing memory and a reminder of good company. While this meal may be nostalgic, I doubt anyone would be disappointed. I recommend a Chicago deep dish with your favorite toppings.

We had a lovely experience at this restaurant.

The service was great, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was fun.

I would have given it a five out of five stars... however, the wait from giving our order to eating our pizza took over an hour and 15 minutes. Now, I am happy to wait for freshly made food... And there was no doubt that ours was fresh... But, it was a long...long wait... And the restaurant was not overly busy.

So would I recommend this place? I absolutely would... as long as you block out a few hours to enjoy it!
