Paid sick leave accrues at the rate of one
hour per every 30 hours worked, paid
at the employees regular wage rate.

The African American young lady that works on the over night shift is really nice and helpful. She very professional and handles herself quite well. I hope she's appreciated.

As well as the incredible security guard that was there, he definitely needs a raise.

There was a shift change taking place when I arrived and the doors had been locked after about 5 mins of me being there. The Hispanic lady and man employees who were working at first were not helpful at all unfortunately. They were just worried about chit chatting with each other about none work related things. Maybe since they were getting off they were done with people, idk.

Upon coming to the gas station we thought air was low in the tire of whom I was with. It turned out to be there was two nails in her back tire and it was slashed. There wasn't anything to fix a tire sold there.

When asking the security guard outside if he knew of any places near that could fix it we discovered nothing was open. He was extremely nice and professional.

After the security guard was off of work he very graciously offered a helping hand which we really appreciate and are very grateful for. He helped us change the tire since the tire shop across the street was closed and placing air in the tire was definitely not going to help. He was a great help because it was late at night and a bit difficult. We would have been stranded if he wasn't there to lend a hand. There's not many chivalrous gentlemen left in the world. God bless him.

Meanwhile we as well as other customers were waiting outside for the gas station to open back up. To buy gas and other reasons. It was like a 20 minute shift change process taking place.

The previous employees that left didn't do a lot of things that they should have when leaving their shift and that wasn't fair to the young lady relieving them. It was two of them and they didn't refill the soda or slushy dispensers as well as some other things because myself and others couldn't buy either yet due to the need of replenishment.

The young lady kindly apologized and said her shift just began and she'd handle it right away. There were a lot of customers coming in and out so she couldn't leave the register in my opinion. But she was careful and smart enough to stay safe. Alot of people while I was in there kept trying to buy something small and get for change for hundred dollar bills which seemed odd. But she professionally stated she didn't have it at the moment since they just had a shift change.

There should be a limit on bill size late at night to prevent scammers and robbers. Gas station are target's at night especially when someone is alone and the doors are open throughout the night.

Arco definitely needs to make sure she's safe at night. A lot of sketchy people are out late at night. They should definitely allow her to lock the door so people can't access the inside if she's there alone, that's dangerous for her safety and for the gas station. And other employees should be ashamed of themselves for leaving her in a position where the store wasn't ready and prepared for the next shift. Management definitely needs to talk to them and make sure they are doing their jobs. I'm not trying to get anyone in trouble but that's definitely not fair that the two of them are putting her in a bad position.

And Arco is putting their employees in an unsafe and dangerous position. After 10pm doors should be locked if you don't have more than one employee on staff and a security guard. If Arco needs to sell product more than protect employees invest in a pick up/drive thru like window, that would be convenient for everyone.

If the security guard and the young black woman that worked the overnight shift weren't so nice, helpful and professional this Arco would get one ⭐ star or zero if possible.

Make sure you are aware of who your assets are ARCO and reward them for being outstanding employees.

I'm definitely email corporate about this hopefully you treat your good employees better.
