Dr. Hill is a compassionate and strategic leader. I found her coaching efficient and effective to narrow down the focus of my issues and organize my thoughts around next steps. At times, our conversations were so engaging that I was hardly aware that I was being coached. I strongly recommend Dr. Hill as a coach and advisor to help you break through your barriers into higher education leadership.
Dr. Hill breathed new life into my career at a time when I felt lost and trampled by academia. Her ability to understand my unique role in higher ed as a practitioner-scholar was so integral to the success of our work together. During the pandemic, I lost a lot of time, energy, and send of clarity and hope related to my work. Her skill set and background as a psychologist makes a real difference as a coach who can support the whole academician on our promotion and career development journeys. She was also a joy to work with and she knows what she's doing! You won't regret investing in yourself and your career in eliciting her expertise!
If you're at all considering making a move to teaching in higher ed, you can only benefit from working with Dr. Loren Hill. Her level of expertise is impressive and I learned a lot from her years of experience. I'm much better prepared for a competitive higher education hiring market. I can highly recommend Dr. Hill's services!
Dr. Hill is a thoughtful and strategic leader. I was directly supervised by her at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology when she served as Department Chair of the Forensic Clinical Psychology program. Dr. Hill encourages supervisee's professional growth by supporting their advancement within the institution. Under her guidance, I created several award-winning service-learning projects that assisted students in making connections between psychological theory and the practice of community mental health. She was also instrumental in bringing a diverse group of clinicians, academicians, and community advocates to campus to discuss issues of importance to revising the APA guidelines for professional practice with sexual minorities. Dr. Hill was also a strong advocate and mentor for students, encouraging student scholarship as research and teaching assistants. Recently, she has been a popular guest speaker in several of my courses, offering insight and helpful tips to those seeking careers in academia. I highly recommend her!
Dr. Hill has been an amazing coach. In just a short period of 5 sessions, she has transformed the presence of my adjunct faculty portfolio. She has also provided helpful tips for navigating the search for teaching positions. I am grateful for her expertise, leadership and support of my career success!
