(June 7, 2018, 5:09 am)I was dually enrolled at LAMC throughout high school. This is one of the best schools that I have attended. The majority of teachers here are understanding and sincerely want the students to do well. Some of the buildings are a bit outdated, but the school is constantly improving.

(May 20, 2018, 5:01 pm)I transferred from a 4 year private that I couldn't afford anymore and that I hated. I started here last semester (Fall '17). I came to a registration week event where the academic advisor helped me set up my first semester classes and gave me the transfer requirements for CSU's. Despite school beginning in less than a week, most of the classes I wanted were still available. Of course, I suspect this was due to the fact that the school had recently transitioned to a new system and students were confused as to how to work it. Personally, I find the program really easy to navigate and use, but professors and students absolutely hate it. To each their own, I suppose. Parking permits are only $20. It is not that difficult to find parking depending on what time of day you have classes. That semester, I took one 9 am Saturday class, a MW 10:30 am class and a Math and Italian class on TTh from 3:30-9:30. Parking was easy to find, but I hear that during the morning on weekdays, parking is more difficult to find. The East campus and main campus are a 10 minute walk apart. What I find ridiculous is that some classes use Pearson Lab and you have to pay $100 for a class. I like the system, what I don't like is the price. Next semester should be my last. It's easy to finish and transfer quick as long as you are ready to do the work and know the required classes for GE and your major. The classes are good. At Mission, I haven't had a bad professor. I've had 1 bad at Valley though. Despite the quality, students are more eager to sign up for Pierce. Which I'm not complaining about, while classes fill up fast there and at other colleges, you get a wide range of variety here. The campus is beautiful. There's a lot of sheriff's on this small campus so it feels safe. It's been a very pleasant experience and I'm sad to leave soon.
