Gelson's Valley Village/NoHo

Frankly, I don't do too much grocery shopping there as I find their choices somewhat limited and the prices higher than others. But the produce is very good. And their deli food and baked goods are delicious and they have a nice Wolfgang Puck corner that offers pizza slices and others.

The person that was calling out numbers was quick to call my number and help me. I don't know if there is an area for additional comments, so I will write it in here. The service was good as far as in the store, BUT, I will NEVER purchase a Holiday Meal again from Gelsons, especially a SO CALLED PRIME RIB DINNER!! The Roast was NOT a PRIME RIB ROAST, and I didn't know it until after my daughter picked it up and brought it home. If I would have seen it, before it was heated up at home, I would have called Gelson's and returned it!! I have had plenty of PRIME RIB DINNERS from your carving station, and I have cooked plenty of Prime Rib Roast in my lifetime, but this was not a PRIME RIB ROAST, it was a Beef Roast, yes, but NOT PRIME RIB as you advertised, especially for $200!! The meat was dry, extremely salty, whatever the chief used as a seasoning or injected Ito the roast was HORRIBLE!! It was like eating a box of salt. I have pictures to show you and I want to attach them to this email. I don't know if I can, but I will try. We had your Holiday Turkey Dinner for Thanksgiving, and that was fine, but never again will I order your SO CALLED HOLIDAY PRIME RIB ROAST. It is a Tradition in our family to have a Prime Rib Roast Dinner for Christmas, but due to the work being done in my kitchen this year, I was unable to. Honestly don't know what type of piece of meat it was, NO RIBS what so ever! I am very Disappointed in Gelsons quality. You really need to do better. You just lost a customer.

all staff members go out of their way to make sure my shopping experience was great. Raul in the meat department was able to get a meat item not on display which was a great help. The deli crew are just great in serving up the various items I buy.

Great store and Staff. Supervisors Alfredo, Alex and George are top notch. Inventory always good. Produce guys are so great, humble team. Stock guys are awesome.
Just AVOID that cashier DEE. She's nasty, always angry. Bad energy. Definetely not representing the Gelson's brand correctly.

Pretty good market. Has the stuff I need at decent prices. I have serious problems with the prices of their produce though. However despite that, they have some of the best fresh produce around and some things I havent seen anywhere else. They got some pretty great ready made meals options likes salads, soups, indian dishes, sandwiches and even burgers crabcakes and pizza! All freshly prepared in their kitchen right in front of you. Literally you can watch them make and prepare food and package it.
