Let me begin by saying that I entered this process with anxiety and trepidation. My ankle injuries were a lifetime in the making almost 25 years of repetitive high grade sprains that were never properly diagnosed or repaired. My latest injury sent me on a research mission to help find a lasting therapy. Finding Dr. Sampson was a gift from the Universe!

With all my skepticism but a hope that I had nothing to lose and everything to gain I underwent a comprehensive treatment at the Orthohealing Center. I received stem cell injections harvested from my marrow, a follow up of PRP and a series of combination sound wave, cryotherapy treatments.

Now I am 8 week out from the PRP and 18 Weeks from the Stem Cell. I have full range of motion. I am hiking uneven surfaces 5 miles a day. I have never felt more stable and the results are nothing less the extraordinary!!!

Yes . I also committed to 3 months of PT but the combination has proven to be miraculous. I was told I would need surgery, Ankle fusion, a brace for life ... They were wrong!!

As for pain and recovery ... The procedure was a 2 out of 10 in terms of discomfort, the recovery was no issue whatsoever. I was cared for and followed up with and never felt as though I was not in the best hands possible. Orthohealing center staff was accommodating and communicative. Frankly a wonderful all around experience!

I was treated with great care by Dr. Afiero for a knee medial meniscus tear, Chondromalacia patella and separately but also for a shoulder labrum tear, biceps tendon tear.

After careful diagnosis, Dr. Afiero treated me with PRP, bone marrow concentrate, & Lipogems (Adipose tissue) and several rounds of shockwave therapy.

I'm grateful to Dr. Afiero and the entire team at The Orthohealing Center for their care and for restoring my knee and shoulder so I can play sports again. And best, I didn't have to go under the knife!

Dr Aufiero is a gift of a doctor. She made both my husband and I feel as if we were her only patients the day we saw her, and she meticulously went over our MRIs, explaining them in detail, presenting what she thought would be the best course of treatment for both of us. Then, in my case, adjusting once she did a thorough examination. So impressed with that. Her knowledge of the body and what causes pain is astounding. She is also conscience of any costs involved and lowers them when possible. We both have total trust in her assessments after some disappointing experiences with other medical professionals who didn't seem as invested. You can tell this is her genuine passion.

I had been searching for a sports medicine doctor on the west side and had been referred by a friend to the Orthohealing Center. I had my visit with Dr. Vincent. He was awesome! He was upbeat, thoughtful, and explained all my treatment options throughly. He didn't seem rushed and took he took his time with all my questions (I have a lot). The staff was also great. I'm looking forward to continuing my treatment here. Would recommend him and the office to anyone!
