I loved our time here and Bahay Apartments will always have a special place in my heart. Shannon, Jeff and the management are wonderful. Everyone was so kind and accommodating, they made you feel like family and took care of anything you needed quickly. The building was so unique and kept clean so using the amenities was a pleasure. The neighbors were great too with fun events like pool parties and Halloween door decorating contests. Not to mention how great it is to have a Target and a Starbucks downstairs. If we didn't buy a house, I'd still be there. Also, I never experienced any issues with noise and we lived above the pool and firepits. Highly recommended.

We had a tour with Nicole and it was the best tour we’ve ever had even though we saw many properties before. She made a really great presentation with WOW effect (especially with the secret room). The building has great facilities, big modern gym, beautiful common areas, nice smell and music. We were absolutely impressed and applied for the apartment the same day. Looking forward to living here soon

I have lived here now over a year and can say I have gotten great value out of this place. The amenities are maintained well. The neighbors are all decent people who I have encountered (no loud parties, or shady crowds) that help take care of the public living spaces. It sits right above a target which is extremely convenient. The staff are very nice and approachable. Jeff and Shannon do a great job at looking out for us as residents and planning events that promote a positive community here such as food truck tuesdays and movie nights at the pool. Love the pool and grill area, and the gym is better than most apartment gyms you will get anywhere else with squat rack and yoga studio included. I feel safe here and have not really experienced any issues with crime at the facility whatsoever....but I am aware that it is in the middle of a big city, so life outside of here we cannot always predict, but overall I feel able to walk outside at night and not worry about any issues.

The Alexan staff were great in my book - always response and very accommodating for my needs. The building is actually very nice, with great amenities and easy access to many parts of LA you'd enjoy.

My challenges with the space have nothing to do with the management team, and everything to do with what they had inherited (a previous management company designed and developed it, and were replaced a couple months after my move-in). There are a few quirky design flaws that are at worst a minor inconvenience. One other reviewer did mention the bike zone being insecure, but if you ask me there is a certain amount of common sense that the original architects should have had as well as anyone with an expensive bike: don't give the bike storage it's own exit to the street, or don't store an enviable bike in an area that could be propped open and accessible by strangers.

The management team made it very clear when they found out about the issue that nobody should keep their bikes there, and eventually did work that lead to the arrest of one of the thieves (including staffing security that they didn't have as commonly before).

For the value you get with brand new luxury apartments, great amenities, turnkey access to everything on move-in: I think this place is a steal. I moved out primarily as I have a larger dog and having a yard and some more space was better for us (but you can believe we are paying a high monetary cost for it). The neighborhood isn't quiet, but you definitely get used to it - part of living close to DTLA. As with everything, there are trade offs - just make sure living in a central city location is right for you.

    Hope this is helpful!

Recently moved to Alexan after extensive research on many buildings and neighborhoods in LA, and am very happy with our decision. The building, amenities, and tenants are all positive things to highlight about our experience here thus far, and the building management and staff are top notch. I won’t spend time describing the space here, because it’s well displayed online and a quick tour for yourself will solidify your decision. Special thank you to Jeff, Shannon and team for ensuring a great move-in (and overall) experience for us.
