Journey Malibu saved my life. I was as skeptical as anyone going into rehab would be. By the end of my second month there, the Journey Malibu house was like my second home. The various therapy methods I found there opened and expanded my mind to places beyond my initially limited conceptions of life and how to deal. I will remember the staff and their genuine care and love they gave me and the other clients, forever. All forms of offered therapy was unique and insightful and incredibly powerful. It transformed my life and gave me tools to go out and then further transcend it on my own, and that is true empowerment.
It was difficult choosing one of many places to go, but because Journey had way less clients at a time than the others I'd found it offered intimacy and the ability to make the connections I did. It was also crucial I go to a place that offered holistic treatment because what I needed was to shed light on the core issues of my behaviors, and it most certainly did. Regardless of the treatment and the staff, the facility itself is absolutely beautiful and the feeling Id get just waking up and walking outside into the beauty was priceless. I will forever be grateful for Journey Malibu and my two life changing months there.
I just want to thank Journey Malibu again for the ways they have changed my life beyond my expectations! The staff, doctors, and instructors came together and worked as a team to help me overcome my addictions. They quickly identified my own personal issues I was having that created the triggers that lead to my 14 year run as a daily addict. And then they taught me, how to work through and get beyond those issues, and new situations that arise, without the use of of alcohol and drugs. All the diverse programs and classes that I went through there helped build a solid foundation for sobriety, in which has grown tremendously. Since Journey Malibu, I have been promoted at work twice, my relationship with my daughter is amazing, and I have learned to love life again when I thought there was no hope left. I am now 2 years and 67 days sober and I do thank Journey Malibu and all the wonderful, experienced, and caring people there that had a key role in making this possible!

My time at Journey may be the best investment I ever made in Myself. It's easy to fall in love with the surroundings and comfort available to clients, but in the end we are all there for one reason; to heal. Every member of the Journey staff makes themselves available to your needs. The therapeutic process is second to none and you know very quickly that they care about what is best for YOU. I was treated like an adult; not an addict. I was afforded freedoms and personal space; not locked in a room and guarded like a prisoner. My therapists were knowledgeable, professional and compassionate. I only spent 10 days at Journey before I had to transfer to another facility for insurance reasons and I felt like I was leaving family. I would absolutely recommend Journey Malibu for anyone needing personal attention to address their needs. They will do everything they can to help a person in need. They changed my life.
