  You might not even notice this place driving by on the Pacific Coast Highway, but pay attention! I had fresh swordfish with salad and steamed veggies. My only disappointment was that all of those things would really shine with some fresh herbs or some seasoning... All I found was salt and pepper, which did enhance everything, especially the fish. The veggies... Not nearly so much. We ate late lunch on their outdoor patio which is set up family style with picnic tables. Those are covered in red and white plastic gingham and were very clean. Through and over the patio enclose there is a nice view of the ocean across the street and, surprisingly, you really don't notice the regular street traffic so much.

  Cool informal fish place. Had a fire going with long picnic tables as communal seating on a cold So Cal evening. Fish was pretty fresh and good.

  I have been going to the Reel Inn for many years. Great Clam Chowder lots of clams. Fish and chips is good although the chips/fries could be a lot better by changing a vendor. Blackened fresh fish is really good. Best thing is that it is directly across the street from Topanga Beach. There may be another name for the beach. I surfed their when I was not so fat. Anyway thumbs up on reel in better food and prices than Dukes down the street. If you want drinks and bar small plates go to dukes or paradise Cove west of reel inn those places are overpriced but alternatives to the Reel Inn. Reel Inn has outside seating and outside seating if you have a dog. Reel Inn great place for beach eats and high end fish dishes. Prices are standard for beach restaurant.

  Amazing shack in Malibu with a view of the ocean, own terrace, good food and pricing, chill service. Loud enough to feel social, quiet enough to talk without raising a voice. Exceptional atmosphere with good old rocknroll music in the background. Parking lot right outside the place with many free spots by 6pm. Loved it.
