From the moment I walked into the clinic, I was greeted by the friendly and accommodating staff, creating an atmosphere that immediately put me at ease.

Dr. Chiu's expertise was evident in the effectiveness of the treatments she prescribed. Not only did I experience noticeable improvements in my skin's condition, but she also provided me with valuable tips and advice on skincare routines and products that have since become an integral part of my daily regimen.

Throughout my visits, Dr. Chiu maintained a warm and friendly demeanor, creating a comfortable environment that fostered trust and open communication. She patiently addressed all my questions and concerns, never making me feel rushed or dismissed. Her dedication to her patients' well-being and satisfaction was evident at every stage of the process.

I cannot recommend Dr. Annie Chiu and The Derm Institute highly enough. My experience at The Derm Institute has been nothing short of outstanding, and I am grateful to have found such a knowledgeable and caring derm.

Dr. Chiu is fantastic! She gave me the confidence in my skin that I was always lacking. I've always had problematic skin, but the thing bothering me the most was my melasma. I scheduled a consultation with her and she recommended the clear and brilliant laser. I believe I ended up having 3 different treatments over the course of a year.

Let me just say- the results were incredible! I wish I had taken before and after photos. After just the first treatment, the melasma had gone down significantly and I could actually cover it with makeup for the first time since it began. After the 2nd treatment, my skin was so even that I actually cried! It was the first time since I was 16 that I actually liked how my skin looked. The melasma ended up returning because I didn't consistently use the skincare she recommended, nor did I apply sunscreen enough, which is why I had to have another treatment. After that, I took my skincare seriously, and the melasma has been under control ever since! The Skinlab brightening discs are a lifesaver and they keep my skin so clear. In fact, when I went back to Dr. Chiu because I was considering another procedure, she remarked on how great my skin looked!

Just a couple things to be aware of with the laser treatments. One, they are pretty expensive. I think they're worth it because of the results, but keep that in mind. Make sure to use the skincare that Dr. Chiu recommends, otherwise you risk wasting money and having to repeat the treatment like me. Also, the side effects are a little rough. My melasma was pretty bad, so she had to use the laser for longer, and the effects are like a sunburn. The skin flakes and peels off for a few days after that, and you'll look a little crazy, so make sure you don't have to go out for 5 days.
