First time visit this shop only because they opened at 8:00 am. The whole visit turned into a unbelievable and incredible experience. It started with a simple oil change and ended up with almost 3and half hours intake gas valve replacement job. Begin with Mr.Toby carefully explained to me in detail with print out test result what need to be done. Not like some other repair shop trying to talk me into some work I don't need . Instead Mr. Toby demonstrated the requirements to solve the problem in a professional way. After everything is done Mr.Toby hang me the keys with a piece of alcohol wipe to clean my hand. That just blow my mind once again. What else you can ask from a repair shop? By the way I forgot to mention they have the cleanest restroom than any restaurants I ever been to. All I can say is I wish I knew this place earlier, may be 30years ago? This place and people do exist today in our world.
As of late, say the past year, my car has been experiencing low humming vibration as the engine is idling. When I brought my car to my car dealer to have it checked out, I was given a wishy washy diagnosis and I got an impression that they are not really interested to service it, or simply that they didn’t want to be bothered with work that requires some effort.
Then I took it to a mom and pop service shop near where I worked. Surprisingly, I was given the same reluctant altitude of not wanting to fix it.
A few months later, with recommendation from my wife, I took my car to ToyoStar Auto Repair, just to see if I have better luck this time. The shop is clean, looks professional and I started explaining to Toby, the mechanic, of what is the problem. Three mechanics examined the car from underneath and within five minutes have determined what’s the caused of the problem. Their recommendation is to replace two engine mount and one transmission mount. The mechanic explained that the mount is sort of like a thick rubber pad where the engine assembly and transmission assembly sits, and so when it deteriorated, it would cause undue stress on the engine and transmissions assemblies, thus producing the low humming vibration.
Later, Toby proceeded to explain what works need to be performed and even show me the parts on his computer screen and provided me a cost estimate. The parts were ordered as I was leaving the shop and by the following day, my car is ready to be picked up. As it turns out, it took less hours to perform the work and was charged accordingly, which is less than what was estimated.
.
As soon as I crank up the engine, I can immediately feel that the low humming vibration has vanished.. Since then, I have driven another 80 miles and I haven't experience any re-appearing symptoms. To sum it up, I'll say Toby and his crew did an excellent job on my car.
Great service as usual
