Even though I came here to see a Japanese garden I was surprised how the each another site is beautiful!
Heaven on earth. The cactus garden is second to none. The Japanese garden and the Chinese garden are scrumptious. Not to be missed if you care for botanical gardens.
It was very nice, but we got there at 3:30p.m they close at 5p.m., so I would recommend to see all the gardens with out ruanning and enjoy a good meal to be here at 10 a.m., because we have to pay for entrance...but it's a nice place!!!!
Wonderful garden. Also, Westworld season 2 filming location for a few scenes of Samurai world. Doesn't look like anything to me. Really enjoyed the desert/cactus garden as well. Just amazing. Would have loved to spend another 2-3 hours here but closing time is around 5 pm. Not crowded at all on weekdays but can imagine
Be careful around the tropical gardens - we got swarmed by mosquitos in the shaded areas. So bring bug spray or walk briskly. Interesting that this was the only area we encountered these aggressive mosquitos.
Skip the cafe in the Chinese gardens. We skipped lunch and were famished. The potsticker dumplings were your standard frozen dumplings you can buy in a bag at any asian supermarket. The shrimp rice bowl came in a soy pepper sauce, generous portion (mostly rice). The premium beer choice was the best part of our meal - had a nice green tea flavor which was surprising (as with the price - $12).

Of all the Japanese gardens my human has actually visited in real life, the Huntington Japanese Garden in Pasadena, California is by far the most beautiful. I haven't been there in years, but it had every element I adore about Japanese gardens.
