  Can't recommend this place enough. Preparing for a weekend in LA/SM, I called asking about renting a wet suit. Ended up being included in a surf lesson after talking with owner Christian, who was very friendly and accommodating. The lesson was super fun, and Lucy and Joe were outstanding instructors for my son and me. Very knowledgeable and very encouraging. As an added bonus, their coffee was super tasty. We'll definitely be back if we're in Santa Monica again.

  We last minute booked surfing lessons for our 15 and 11 year olds and man, did we make the right choice. Ryan/Sasquatch went above and beyond to pass on his love of surfing to the kids. He loves to teach and made sure he catered to the kids individual needs and aptitude. Highly recommend you look him up if you are interested in lessons- irrespective of your level. At the shop, Barkley was great in accommodating our last minute request. Do check them out if you are in Santa Monica.

  I had an amazing morning paddle boarding with the Poseidon Paddle & Surf team!
  The team consisted of owners Christian & Matt and instructor, Joe. I was part of a group lesson. Paddle boards and wet suits are supplied or you can bring your own. Whether you have some experience or are brand new to paddle boarding, the team at Poseidon helps you learn the basics as well as gives you insights into how to paddle best. They are with you all the way from getting on the board to journeying across the ocean and ultimately getting off your board safely once you get back to shore. It can be intimidating to paddle board but the team made me feel at ease and confident in my skills and were with me all the way. They are caring, warm, kind and extremely knowledgeable on their craft. This is such a fun activity you will love doing with Christian, Matt and Joe!

  Amazing. My son and I only had a few hours to go surfing. We tried to set up a lesson but the timing would not work. The staff researched the best beach for us to surf and gave us instructions. It was excellent customer service, we had a great time.

  Christian made us feel at home as soon as we arrived to shop. He was super nice and helpful. My boyfriend rented a soft board for 2 hrs and a wet suit. We were also able to purchase California style flip flops which gave my bf the whole Californian experience. Truly a pleasant experience. Ty !!
