Birdie G's

One of our foodie friends insisted that we visit one of his favorite restaurants - Birdie G's. He went a lot before the pandemic and was excited to come back. We quickly understood why Birdie G's is a fave.

For our table of 4, we ordered the following to share: matzo bread, relish tray, Birdie's caesar, open faced tomato sandwich, pork & chicken liver terrine, rice flour-battered mushrooms, brown butter & matzo dumplings, and the pickle chick. We had to pass on dessert - we were beyond (ful)filled.

The big hits were the matzo bread, pork & chicken liver terrine, and the pickle chick - even though we enjoyed all the dishes and had no problem cleaning all our plates.

Our server was both personable and attentive and made our first visit quite enjoyable. Our reservations were at 6:30, and at that time, the restaurant was about half full. At 7:00, it seemed like everyone showed up and the restaurant quickly filled up. Our server came over to our table and encouraged us to put in our food order "now to beat the rush."

If you're looking for some new tastes and approaches to traditional comfort food, then add Birdie G's to your list. You won't be disappointed.

My first time at this restaurant but I love it I would definitely come back again.. delicious food and atmosphere and the service was great .. i love how they have summer salads and tasty vegetable dishes

Relaxed atmosphere. I loved being outside in the patio because it is so much quieter than the inside. Service was good and I was happy that I could grab some gluten free fried chicken (they only make so many a day). Definitely a gluten friendly place. Fun mock-tails to try.

For an appetizer I got the mushrooms, for dinner I had the fried chicken, then I finished with the buttermilk dessert. I also did this smokey strawberry mock-tail and it was good!! Definitely smokey flavored.

This is a super fun and stylish restaurant with a great unique menu. The server we had was knowledgeable and passionate, able to make good recommendations.

The food is a tasty fusion of American Southern & Jewish cuisine. I liked the cornbread, mussels, and kugel. The lamb was good, but the mustard sauce was too strong, and some pieces of meat were smothered completely by it. The food presentation is a little kitschy and not too striking. Mushrooms and dessert were just OK.

Overall, I had a good meal here, although I feel it doesn’t fully justify the price they charge.

Birdie G's is always a vibe and perfectly encompasses that hard sought balance of fine dining and a cozy, relaxing ambiance. Chef Matt and his team are constantly innovating and chasing new flavors for each season, therefore, you can always expect something fresh and enthralling on the menu. The cocktail menu follows suit, as it is ever-changing with seasonal tastes. Reliable bangers that are always available include the relish tray, matzo ball soup, flatiron, and kugel. Any pairing can be concocted against the expansive wine list stocked with a mix of global staples and esoteric gems. Be adventurous and have fun!
