(July 13, 2016, 3:06 am)I had a pretty bad time with martial arts as a kid, I wasn't that good, I had trouble with the other kids, etc etc etc. So when my Dad started going here and encouraged me to come with I was skeptical but eventually my depression and add hit an all time low, with nothing to lose I decided to try one class out, and was amazed by what I learned. Everyone there was positive out going and I felt right at home. The instructors helped me actually learn what I was doing and my sparring partner was a great guy. Definently coming back for more, my only regret is not starting sooner.

You will gain confidence and lose fat and If you want to compete well get ready with the competition class that has very committed people ready to help you win gold medals. Elite level instructors.

(March 16, 2013, 1:21 am)I am extremely impressed with this academy. Before Gracie Barra Whittier, I had been looking for a place to train for a long time with no success. The academy has everything I was looking for: helpful staff, knowledgable instructors, great people to train with, and clean/well maintained facilities. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serious place to train.

(November 4, 2012, 8:43 pm)This Academy has a very friendly atmosphere. Coming from a wrestling background I was really excited to find a place I can get a great workout in and learn jiujitsu. This place delivers! The Instructors and Students are really encouraging in helping you advance your skills. I'm a white belt now but can't wait to earn my blue belt. I personally get a lot out of this place.
