  We recommend this hike. 9.4 miles round trip. Make sure you have good hiking shoes, sun screen, hat, and layer. Very popular trail. Enjoyed the Elk, Poppies, Fort night lilies and Yellow mustard along the trail. Pack a lunch and enjoy!!

  This a great trail to enjoy if you are prepared for virtually no shade, hilly terrain and occasionally walking in sandy conditions. The payoff is great views elk, potentially wolves, and varied coastal views. If you make the trek all the way to the end of the trail on a foggy day you may even feel like you've reached the end of a continent.

  Nice drive to get to the trailhead. Come here for the dozens of Tule Elk and a tranquil hike with ocean bluffs right through. If you make it all the way to the end of the trail, you'll be treated to lots of Cormorants perched on rocks. Its also a good workout. If you had to do one trail in all of Point Reyes, this would get my vote.

  It’s a great place to hike, but more of a walk than a hike.
  Usually pretty windy. But the scenery is wonderful.
  The trailhead begins at Pierce Point Ranch, which is worth the visit alone.

  Pretty amazing hike. Longer(ish) but easy terrain. The path took us about 3.5 hours with a stop for lunch, and is around 8.5-9 miles there and back. Lots of elk on the reserve close enough to touch. Because it’s on a peninsula it’s really windy and also very exposed (no trees) so I suggest bringing something to cover your ears/face from the wind and lots of sunscreen!
