Wonderful hidden old park. Parking was easy drive to get there was beautiful without being too windy and long. Bathroom are very clean and have warm water and showers. Old growth hike to Pioneer Tree is a must!
Orchard Loop Campground. The spot we had (40) seemed private enough. It was the off season though. The bathrooms were mostly out of order. The area was really beautiful. All the trees were nice but it did make it difficult, but not impossible, to find a spot without little roots to place my 2 person tent under a tree. Again this was in spot 40. Unfortunately hammocks are not allowed and they are very adamant about telling you that verbally and with signs. Saying all that I would still stay there again.
One of my happy places. This park has an awesome bike path. Fresh air. No cars (for the most part). Bridges and streams and outdoor awesomeness. Enjoy.
Beautiful camping among the redwoods. The campsite we had was very small. Two tents nearly filled the entire site. Other sites are bigger. Next time will have a better idea of which sites to get. Flush toilets - restrooms pretty clean.
Great place for a kid-friendly camping trip! Beautiful hiking and biking trails, nestled amid the redwoods. Campsites have campfire pits, cupboards, and potable water. There are bathrooms and showers a short walk away. Ranger staff are accessible and friendly.
It was so wonderful to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I look forward to returning.
