If you are planning to take a boat out then Markley cove is easy to reach from the bay area or Sacramento. The staff at the gate are extremely helpful and friendly. There is a little store to stock up on any essentials and maybe take an ice cream to go. On a busy weekend, parking maybe restricted and you might have to find a spot on the road. So call ahead to ensure you are not disappointed.
