(January 19, 2015, 2:55 pm)I recently had a wine tasting with Bliss Wine, and it was awesome! I got to try three white and three red wines, all from small vineyards in Italy and Croatia.
First, and most importantly, the wine was DELICIOUS. Really wonderful flavors, and mostly dry wines, which is what I prefer. It was also great that the owner who walked us through the tastings had actually been to the winery where the wine had been produced--her descriptions of the winery made my husband and I almost feel like we had been there too.
After trying all six wines, we paired the wines with various foods, and experimented with what paired the best.
Overall, a fun social night, I learned a bit about wine, and I'd definitely do another testing with Bliss Wines! -

(January 16, 2015, 12:41 pm)At first, I ran into "Joao's winnery" in Portugal (via Internet). His place is called Quinta da Boa Vista and I saw a few videos and reviews of his wines and place and I thought he was a really nice guy. So I emailed him inquiring on how to buy his wines and he referred me to Alleah from Bliss Wines. I emailed her and received overwhelmingly incredible responses. Alleah was then traveling around the World for her business but she took the time to answer all my emails and all my questions in a highly professional, warmth, friendly, and passionate manner. Despite her busy schedule and trips she found the time to communicate with each time I looked for her and I can say that she is someone who loves what she does and she is among some of the most awesome people I have met (we hat not yet met in person!) in the past many years. I had a shipment of Joao's wines sent to a friend in West Virginia and Alleah promptly took care of it. I honestly and wholeheartedly have no one better than Bliss Wine and Alleah to recommend and endorse. We spoke over Skype and I can tell that Alleah is the type of person who makes anyone customer or not feel good and welcome and she has an incredibly vast lived experience with the wine business not only in the USA but around the World and uniquely, all the way to China. When you or a friend need wine, buy from someone who does not treat you like a number. I guess I can consider myself a lucky person to have run into Joao and then through him into Alleah and Bliss Wines! Cheers and take it easy, tomorrow will have problems of its own so let's enjoy the moment!
