This school is so AMAZING! My 5 year old goes to the hybrid class here & it's truly a blessing to be a part of a community that respects their students & provides such a safe & beautiful atmosphere to learn, grow & play!!
Awesome Educational institution. My nephew is going there. They have the strong architectural base, awesome teacher and a nice curriculum. Teachers take care students with a way that can boost the ability of any student for longer term. Hope they will be always so same like now.
All four of my children attended Waldorf based schools. Many people spend thousands of dollars to have their children in Waldorf for a unique education that supports a holistic and experiential approach to educating the whole child. We are thrilled it is now offered as a free charter program for all in Orange County. What started out as a radical approach to education based on Rudolf Steiner's philosophies, has shifted with the times to focus on more technology to round out 21st century student needs.
It offers a child-centric program, many arts beginning with watercolor and working up to form drawing, eco-literacy and media literacy, as well as hands-on learning opportunities through gardening, woodwork, handwork, games, and numerous outdoor daily and overnight field trips that support the curriculum.
This is quite different from traditional schooling so it is worth taking a tour, understanding the philosophy, and digging into the curriculum and having your child visit the school to help ensure a good fit.
Best in your educational endeavors!
Happy Waldorf Parent
We love this school and it's teachers. My son is in the Snapdragon Kindergarten and he is so happy. The school provides so much time in nature, time to connect with others and learn about compassion, trust, loyalty, love, all the best things in life. Since he started his love of learning the basics (reading, writing, language, sociology) has increased with his true interest in the world. It is a magical place for kids, fostering their imagination as well as their inner light. I am a huge fan and I am so thankful to the teachers and staff that make Journey School possible.
Whoa whoa, what happened? I went here for a year and a half before moving to Colorado. It was called Foxborough Elementary. Ahhh how the time has passed hope it's a wonderful learning center as it once was back in the day, at least in my memories.
