My sister went to a music school school for over a year. Don't throw away your money on a music school. Working with Dr.Marina my sister is actually learning something now. She did 2 piano recitals and also, is now learning how to sing Opera. I highly Recommend Dr. Marina. Thank you for helping my sister.

I have known Dr. Marina Sakach since 2006 when my 6 year old son first started classical piano lesson with Marina. She is professional, attentive, loving and dedicated. I have met many piano, music teachers and Marina's teaching style is truly authentic. She takes the time to teach technique, theory, ear training, sight reading, scales, performance and much more during each of her lessons. I love her method because she is thorough and my son received the best piano, music theory training from her. He excelled in his music classes at school and his peers and teachers were amazed at his skills, knowledge and performance. Marina instilled a strong theory and musical foundation in my son, and with that he was able to apply all of what she taught him to teach himself how to play other musical instruments, such as the violin and saxophone. Her dedication to get your child to become an accomplished pianist is truly remarkable. She encouraged my son to excel in all of the annual Certificate of Merit Exams and Piano Performance Evaluations, by which he did get honors and district honors in all, starting from piano level 5 up to when he accomplished level 10. I've watched almost all of her students grow up from around age 5 to graduating high school and entering into Universities such as Berkeley and UCLA. She sincerely cares about every one of her students and I feel this is why we stayed with her until the very end. She has great morals because she always puts in 110% of herself into each of her student's piano journey. My son started his piano lessons with Marina as a hobby but he continued to become an accomplished pianist and now he uses his skills to teach others how to play piano and accompany his younger brother in his violin. Marina is one of the most genuine piano teacher I have ever met. Even though my son has completed his training with Marina 3 years ago, she still keeps in touch with us because she considers all of her students as her family. She is a rare find in this music community.

If you are serious about learning piano, look no further. Dr. Sakach is a rare find in south Orange County, as she not just another local piano instructor; she is a quintessential musician, classically educated and trained in both piano and classical voice in St. Petersburg and bringing her world class expertise and decades of experience to SoCal. My kids progressed quickly under her tutelage, because she knows how to keep them challenged, engaged, and moving forward, all the while building an incredibly strong foundation of musical theory. I have been so very impressed with how solid my kids' understanding of musical theory is. She guides them meticulously through each level of CM and frankly, after years of taking them to countless CM sittings, I am willing to bet that no other teacher in all of SoCal prepares their students as well as she does.Usually you need to trek up north around Orange/Santa Ana/Costa Mesa to find the really good music teachers (I know from personal experience with a very musical extended family). Dr. Sakach is a teacher of that caliber right here in southern OC.
