Costa Mesa DMV

Out of all of the DMVs this one is legit good. The people that work here are actually good and mean well and actually help you with whatever you are there for.

The only issue with this place are the security guards that they employ. Unfortunately the agency that they work with that staffs this DMV, their security "guards" are unfortunately arrogant, pompous, sub-human degenerates. They legit hate their job and will give you an attitude when you ask them anything. I had one guard literally swear at me in my face. I reported that "guard" to the DMV manager there and hopefully they fix or preferably fire that degenerate. If any one else gets harassed by these security guards, don't be afraid to call them out and to report them to the DMV manager. Hopefully they will cut their contracts with that agency and get a better one that actually employs professional humans instead of the garbage "guards" that they currently have.

One of the best DMV experiences. Lots of helpful greeters and staff to help show you which forms to fill out and what documents are needed. The line in the morning before opening is kind of long, I'm guessing because folks wanted to get back to work. But if you are flexible, after 10am there are only about 5 people in line and it goes by quickly. If you have brought all the correct documents and forms, you can get things done in about an hour. Oh the parking is a one-way loop to make parking much easier.

I have been going here for over 50 yrs. The young man they have working there to help call they people in the floor that don't know what they are doing is awesome. I was here for 2 hours and watched him in awe. He is the best thing that has happened to DMV. He is so efficient and is fast and great customer service. What a great asset he is too the chaos. Now there is a lot less chaos with his help.

Best DMV experience I've ever visited. Bright, clean and spacious. The employees are super friendly, knowledgeable and really want to help you. I was in and out in 30 min to get a duplicate without an appointment. Even though I didn't have a confirmation number for an appointment I got in fairly quick. If you have that, it goes faster. What an amazing upgrade.
Pro tip : Go at the first hour. Hardly anyone there and you go fast.

Costa Mesa DMV is bar far the most organized and well ran. The employees are HELPFUL, unlike the one closer to my house (San Clemente) I have gone to the SC twice and both times the lady, Kim told me she couldn’t help me. The gentleman today at this DMV looked into the issue and was able to resolve it. So thankful for him! I finally have a valid drivers license again! Thanks 🧡🧡🥹
