Gracie Barra Dana Point Martial Arts

Gracie Barra Dana Point has been an amazing experience for me. Professor Fernando is an incredible instructor. He is patient, caring and very meticulous. He has a great passion for jiu jitsu and it shows in everything he does. The school is very clean and all the staff and coaches are great! I would 100% recommend this school to anyone looking to get into Jiu jitsu.

We started our now 9 year old here when he was 5, our 5 year old when he was 3, my husband has been going for almost a year, and I pick up the parent-kid and self defense classes whenever possible. This studio is a family. They are absolutely amazing with the kids and supportive of everyone who walks through the doors. We moved from Dana Point to San Juan Capistrano 2 years ago, the thought of switching to somewhere closer has never been an option. Highly highly recommend to anyone who will listen.

Truly - I cannot say enough wonderful things about Professor Fernando and his entire team. You would have a hard time telling which of his students are his own children because he treats each one like his own. The kindness, gentleness, and compassion are constant and in perfect balance with how high a bar he sets for his students and the integrity he requires of them - not only as a jiu jitsu player but as a whole person. After our first class with my then-4-year-old, we decided we were lifers, and we never looked back. I'm so proud to belong to Gracie Barra Dana Point. They feel like part of our family.

Professor Fernando and Coach Paula are wonderful people! My son has grown a lot in terms of discipline and respect! My son loves training at the gym! Friendship, respect, education, differentiated training in every class! I highly recommend with my eyes closed! 💚

Professor Fernando runs the best training facility. He makes it fun for kids, yet it is organized and teaches the kids discipline, respect and how to help others. My son, who is on the autism spectrum, absolutely loves going there and training jiu jitsu. His coach, Jorge is patient, calm, and has gentle teaching method. Our son Max has learned so much from body awareness to simple techniques and its great exercise as well! He has sensory processing disorder but he has acclimated to the loud noises, grappling, and floor exercises. The techniques have helped him in body awareness and speech. We highly recommend Gracie Barra DP and the whole GB team. We love them!
