(June 30, 2014, 3:29 pm)I was initially terrified to workout here. It's Crossfit after all! But once I joined, I felt safe and comfortable. Everyone from the coaches to the other members are friendly, welcoming, and supportive. It's a great environment where you will make progress in ways you never thought possible due to the coaches' knowledge and encouragement. And if you are scared or intimidated to join, take my word for it: you can do it and the staff will help you every step of the way. And don't let your age stop you. I almost didn't join because I thought I was too old (mid-forties), but I'm not. I may be a little slower than the young bucks but I definitely FEEL younger since joining Crossfit Surf City. It's a great place all the way around.
