Laguna Beach Books

I didn’t actually know this shop existed until a friend gave me a gift card for my birthday last year. It took me a while to finally make my way into Laguna to check the place out. I can’t even tell you how many times or how much I think my friend for not only the gift of the card, but the gift of the knowledge of this fantastic shop! All of the employees are so friendly and helpful. There are great little cards with notes under so many books to help guide you through your purchasing. I can’t say enough about how lovely it feels just to be inside the shop.

This is the ONLY place I buy new books. Great selection and great customer service!

Tiny and quaint, but with amazing book selections.

I am such a FAN! I’m a local, home for a visit from Northern California. I had finished the book that I had brought, and was in dire need of a good mystery read. I came to LBBS and inquired…they sent me to the area for my specific interest. I couldn’t land on something and so I chose a book that I was lukewarm about. When I got to the cash register, the owner was able to answer my questions about the chosen read…BUT the other person at the cash register had a recommendation! The Thursday Murder Club. Well, I couldn’t put it down and I’ve already ordered the next book by this author

Here is my takeaway. These ladies were conversant in everything that I picked up, there were hand written critiques from various staff members next to all the books that they had read. They were well stocked, friendly and exactly what I think that a bookstore should be! Thanks LBBS! You guys ROCK! ❤️

the shopkeeper was extremely kind and they are willing to work with you if they don’t have the book in stock in the shop, so be sure to ask (!!). the prices are not more expensive than what you find on Amazon and you can support a local business so be sure to stop by!
