Pirate Coast Paddle Co

Arrived around 11 am the gate was locked so we had to find free street parking. There is a little walk-through entrance and you have a 5 minute walk to the tiki hut on the sand to purchase your kayak or paddle boards. There was another group before us who rented paddle boards, so we weren’t the only people out on the water. For $20 an hour you can easily make it paddling around the lower bay and back. With it being my first time kayaking the ride up was super easy but coming back with two different currents crashing together made me have to work a little harder but overall loved the experience!

Came here today early on a holiday weekend and they were totally prepared for the day. Paris, Nick and Bailey were awesome helping get a large group on the water and were super helpful with us and our kids. They do a great job explaining everything and it made for a super fun day!

Always a good experience! Great place for first time paddlers! It's nice that they have the boards right next to the water and always ready to launch! Super friendly and chill staff. Also good affordable prices!

Came here for a work gathering, the staff are very friendly and courteous, they were kind enough to waive the 5$ dog fee (dont tell anyone 😉) but I had a great time, saw a lot of children and families enjoying paddle boarding, there is a private little picnic area for customers that made it feel secluded. Lots of fun , will be back.

Newport back bay is the perfect place to try out stand up paddle boarding with kids. It is a bit pricier than other paddle boarding places but I will always pay extra to not have to dodge boats zipping through the waterways. The peace of mind and relaxed atmosphere in the back bay are well worth the extra few dollars for rental here and it is a nice beach to hang out at after your rental is over. Service here was friendly and quick.
