Shanghai Pine Gardens Restaurant

A fav place for quality Chinese food. Filled me up. I will probably become a regular. This place has a cool design.

My wife and I are not from the area so we were not sure where to go for dinner. We decided to give this place a try and we are so glad we did! We had the orange chicken and their combination lo mein. The food was authentic and flavorful. The customer service was friendly and courteous. We hope we can be in the area again soon so we can come back here.

You can tell the meat and vegetables are so fresh and high quality. It is pricey but is worth it for the quality. I ordered 3 meat dishes for take out and they were all delicious and my only complaint is the soy sauce packets that came with it we’re poor quality. I had my own soy sauce so no matter. I would recommend it

We were served by a very polite and professional lady. She was helpful with the menu. We first had the hot and sour soup for our appetizer. Then I had the Sweet and Sour Pork and my husband ordered the orange chicken from the lunch special section of the menu. We drank water to go with the food. Enjoyed our time in Balboa Island with the lunch at the Shanghai Pine Gardens Restaurant. Would recommend!

Americanized? Whatever. The salt and pepper prawns are sooooooo good. The dry braised green beans were cooked perfectly. This place uses lots of fresh veggies in their dishes, and that in my book makes it great. I am craving more.
