True professionalism!!!

Bill represented our Newport Beach offer on a SFH with the utmost professionalism. We experienced first-hand Bill’s genuine and warm disposition at a showing for one of his listings, and it didn’t take long for us to ask him to be our buying agent as we navigated the interesting market during COVID. It was truly refreshing to work with Bill for both our home purchase & ensuing rental of that home due to unexpected circumstances during these times. Bill stayed on top of it all, we had 100% confidence in him to handle all matters & transactions, and he did it so with integrity and reliability from beginning to end.

In early 2019 my husband and I met Bill Calhoun while visiting an Open House at the Bluffs in Newport Beach. At the time we knew we wanted to move closer to our daughter in L.A. but weren’t quite ready to make the move from northern California. Bill was friendly, personable and knowledgeable. We kept in touch over the next several months and often flew or drove to L.A. to visit our daughter. A week or so before each trip I’d call Bill and ask if while we were visiting our daughter he could show us properties between Costa Mesa and San Clemente. Since we had never lived in southern California we didn’t have a specific idea where we wanted to live. Bill has a wealth of knowledge regarding the area and helped us define our criteria: price, neighborhood, maximum driving time to visit our daughter, etc. Each time we planned a visit Bill would email a list of homes on the market and we’d discuss the floorplans, backyards, street, etc. Bill got to know us very well. He often previewed the homes knowing our preferences. We would fly down and spend the day driving from house while Bill told us about each neighborhood. This went on for several months as Bill patiently showed us dozens of homes and we toured communities.
Bill is genuinely friendly, extremely professional, honest, highly knowledgeable and very focused. Bottom line he is great to work with. His interests lie with his clients and making them happy. He develops a sense of each client and is skilled at discerning their style of communication as well as their likes and dislikes.
After almost one year we finally found our beautiful new home that checked all the boxes! Bill consistently kept us on track and never gave up, even when we were exasperated. He worked exceedingly hard and it was a real pleasure to work with him. Thanks to Bill the escrow process went smoothly; he even made sure the house was in perfect condition when we moved in (accompanied by an excellent bottle of French Champagne)!

We give Bill Calhoun sole credit for the fact that, after a 18 month search that ranged from total renovations in Newport Beach to “turn-key” properties in San Clemente, we happily landed in the perfect home for us! We are from Maryland so we were very dependent upon Bill’s thorough knowledge, expertise and perseverance as we navigated through all the options. When we were back on the east coast, Bill always went way above and beyond, driving down to San Clemente many times to check out properties for us. To make a long story short, because we grew to trust his understanding of our likes and dislikes so much, we ended up buying our house sight unseen. But to add more to our story, we secured this awesome house only because Bill advised us to place a back-up offer even after we had written it off as a lost cause. Bill also had the network to connect us with a mortgage broker who was willing to work through some complicated financing issues, closing after a twelve day escrow in order to accommodate our already set travel plans. I cannot say enough to express just how appreciative we are to Bill Calhoun and highly recommend him to everyone. Our daughter and her husband also did an extensive search for a home in Irvine CA and once again Bill Calhoun found the perfect home for them!

Buying and selling real estate, while familiar to me, is not something I love to do. You either love the strategy and consider it exciting or, like me, you just want it "done."

Meet Bill Calhoun. The words that come to mind are "driven," "patient," "decent," and "wise." Bill listened carefully as we described what we wanted. He then crafted a plan to suit OUR needs, not his own, and moved us through the process creatively, quickly and efficiently.
