I had Bells Palsy and after researching remedies I found out that acupuncture was a possible solution. Highly skeptical I hesitantly chose A point of Health and made an appointment.with Dr. Emily Valenzuela. My first visit was an overall evaluation of my health and a treatment for my problems. I went in for two primary problems Bells Palsy and Occipital Neuralgia but also had been suffering with the inability to fall asleep at night. I took countless amount of sleep aids but nothing worked. The combination of treatments and supplements improved my Bells Palsy by 95%, my Occipital Neuralgia is gone and I am sleeping as good as I can remember, no more sleeping aids!! Lastly, a side benefit my blood pressure at the my regular Dr was down significantly 122 over 68. That is an all time low for me as normally it was 136 over 94. Thanks Dr. Valenzuela for the help!!😀

In June 2020 I became pregnant for the first time however at my 9 week appointment found out there was no heartbeat and miscarried. Following the miscarriage my husband and I continued to try for a baby. I read every fertility book out there, I did all of the things people tell you to do, I tracked my ovulation and timed everything perfectly every single month. I went as far as doing handstands to make it happen. Nothing worked and every month I found myself peering into the window of an over-the-counter pregnancy test with 2 minutes of hope followed by many days of tears and deep deep pain. My soul crushed over and over and over again. Every month I wondered when it was going to be my turn, and didn't understand why it was so hard for me yet so easy for others. I was recommended to Dr. V by a few of my friends who also have success stories with her, as well as a couple strangers on the internet that knew my story. I had never done acupuncture before and to be perfectly honest I was a little skeptical and a lot scared/nervous...needles in my face does not sound like something I would enjoy. But I went, because I was willing to do anything to become a mom. I walked in and was greeted by Jenn who is the sweetest! She welcomed me and made me feel so comfortable. I then met Dr. V where I word vomitted everything out to her and told her my story and basically said help me get pregnant. She tested me and told me exactly what I needed to do. In my head I told myself I was going to be her best patient and follow her exact orders. I then laid there on the bed, needles in my face, but it wasn't what I expected. It wasn't scary or painful, in fact it was the most relaxed I had been in a long time. There was spa music on, a diffuser going, the lights were dim, and everything felt so relaxing and serene. It was AMAZING to say the least. I started seeing her once a week and have not stopped, it has become my weekly "me time". I feel like I step into a day spa every time I'm there. A month after seeing Dr. V, on mothers day 2021, I found out I was pregnant! Dr V has given me the greatest gift and I couldn't be more thankful for her help on this journey to motherhood. In the beginning of my pregnancy I was still nervous because of my past experience. She informed me on everything I needed to know about my body and what my body needed. Having her along side this pregnancy has made me feel safe and secure. I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend her. My husband and I call her "the sensei" because she is filled with so much knowledge and is so so helpful. She is now stuck with me as her patient forever and for every pregnancy here on out! Dr V is great! Very informative and clear in her explanations. She explains the exact things you need to do in order to achieve health for your specific body. Her treatment is always amazing. I leave her practice feeling more relaxed and clear-headed!

I started seeing Dr. Valenzuela, in November 2019 for back pain. I was getting nerves in my back cauterized every six months and couldn't even walk my dog down the street without doubling over and crying out in pain. By December, I had started to change my diet and added in natural supplements. I was able to help put up the Christmas lights up. I was astonished I could stand up for that long of a period without or minimal pain. By January, I was able to walk 3 miles everyday with no pain. I owe a lot to Dr. Valenzuela!!
