Ruby's Diner

Great experience at Ruby's, made up for the unexpected flight delay. Sat at the bar and Duane took great care of us. Food was fresh and tasty, would definitely return if flying through.

Grey breakfast. Corned beef hash and eggs. Yummy. Bloody Mary was amazing too.

For an airport joint, the food was pretty solid.
I wrote this review specifically to praise the hard work our server Mark was putting in. He was the lone waiter during a dinner rush and was absolutely crushing the high volume. Our order was all correct and out promptly despite him running laps around the establishment tending to other tables.

Stopped in Ruby's for a quick but yummy bite before my flight out of John Wayne Airport. Sue, my waitress, fielded orders like an MVP in football. It was amazing how she balanced, fast incoming orders, followed up with the kitchen, and did drink refills before you need to ask. The food speaks for itself! The burgers are tasty, sized well, and come with a side. My fries were delicious too. So if you see the perky Red & White Ruby's sign in your travels, do make it a stop as you will surely get a quality and valued meal! And if you pass through at John Wayne Airport, I hope Sue serves you too!
