  I had the opportunity to visit Logos on holiday from Colorado. I was given the chance most people don't get very often, a one on one session with Vong. During our session, I was able to go over multiple techniques and positions that I was working through as a blue belt. Vong was very engaging and eager to answer all the questions I had. I have nothing but good things to say about this gym and wish I was in town longer. Thank you Logos for having me. If you are ever in the area and are looking for a place to train, I highly recommend Logos.

  Great team atmosphere and intensely fun training experience. Professor Andre, Coach George and Coach Vong are fantastic mentors to myself, two of my sons and now my 6 year old daughter. Do yourself a favor and come down and try a free class. You won't regret it. I'm almost 47 years old and a white belt and am having a blast training with this group as are my kids. I can honestly say that training at the Andre Pontes Jiu Jitsu Acadamy has changed our lives for the better. We have all become better people physically and mentally and have made some really wonderful friends in the process.

  This is in response to a review left by Eric "Tarc5050" B. I am a student (purple belt) and coach at the gym and feel I need to clarify his review. Eric has failed to mention the reality of his "experiences" at the gym.
  
  Prof. Andre teaches the same techniques as Brent and Tim. It is true we have alot of white belts but many colored belts show up as well, including myself. As far as the techniques, Eric is not qualified to give any opinion on the techniques. Why? Well, he's been a white belt for almost 3 years and does not know any fundamentals. He does not know how to escape mount, the back or basic guard passes. I've seen him numerous times (actually everytime) struggle against white belts with less than a month's training. In fact, when he is in class, Prof. has to hold his hand while he struggles against much less experienced white belts.
  
  As far as Prof Andre not having a day to day plan on what to teach, I get that. Yes, it would seem like Prof is winging it because you don't show up to class. Everything WOULD seem like jibberish to you. And when you do show up, it's all complaints about how tired you are and how difficult jiu-jitsu is.
  
  In addition, the school doesn't offer very many classes? How about showing up and actually applying yourself for once? You have never shown any grit or perseverance.
  
  You liked the gym better when Brent and Tim owned it? Brent and Tim hated you. They had absolutely no respect for you. In fact, both had stated that if you quit, they would not try to stop you. That one time when you hurt your ankle rolling with me. You noticed how I was rougher than normal? Brent and Tim gave me the green light to light you up. They did not want a person like you training at the gym.
  
  On top of that, no one at the gym has any respect for you. Your words and actions, or lack of, has made everyone view you as a, like I've stated, whiny and weak brat. I hope you decide to apply yourself and put in some effort at that new gym.
  
  And if Brent and Tim were still there, they would not have you as a member. Period.

  Great atmosphere, clean mats and fun environment! Being a middle aged female in a predominantly male sport has made me push harder and want to learn more. Brent and Tim are very patient and knowledgeable, they are GREAT professors! I love Ribeiro Jiu Jitsu!

  The instructors Brent and Tim exceeded my expectations, and push me everytime I attend class. They are both extremely knowledgeable, and show a great amount of patience. The classes are taught at a nice pace, so you may be able to keep up regardless of your level of experience. There's s nothing but great camaraderie, and positive vibes in the area! Be sure to bring water because you'll need it after each session! If you're looking for a great form of cardio, and a full body workout this is it!
