Idyllwild Bunkhouse

Stayed here as PCT hikers for two pleasant nights. Raj (o/o), is an extremely friendly man and very accommodating. Would recommend to hikers and everyone else

If you have to stay in Idyllwild, the Idyllwild Bunkhouse can be recommended.
It's a bit to walk from the city center, but the owner constantly drives around picking one up to drive them back.
The homemade breakfast was a highlight, very delicious.
Rooms were cozy, but a bit cold in the night.

Raj (owner and manager) supports every kind of client, but really rolls out the carpet for PCT thru-hikers.

Bunkhouse is not in the town center…it’s a little hike up a hill. Not a bad walk, but in the rain and snow it can get a little dicey. He is very accommodating to pick folks up and run them back and forth.

He also manages other property in the area and will work with you to figure out what hats available. Highly recommend.

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. It is close to the road, so there is noise, but they leave earplugs in the room to help take care of that. The employees were so kind and helpful, we felt immediately taken care of. The pillows were super comfy, the heater worked well and fast, AND they left the cutest basket of breakfast goods on the door in the morning. I will absolutely be coming back. Loved my stay at Idyllwild Bunkhouse. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, which helped us feel welcome! The room we stayed in was quaint with a high ceiling, small kitchenette and balcony. The included breakfast is an added bonus that shows dedication to service! I gave a 4 for location because it is on the outskirts of town and not within safe walking distance of shops/restaurants, but very enjoyable stay overall. Additionally, it is right next to the highway which can be noisy at times
