  We were suddenly faced with a crisis in dealing with my Stepfather's situation. We feel very fortunate to have found Herb before we made any bad decisions. The hospice team was pushing Mom to immediately pay $15,000 to put him in a care facility (which was impossible since she didn't have that kind of money). Herb helped get us oriented and provided contact information to two other specialists (one for the Medi-Cal process and rules, the other for finding a care facility) who were worth every penny of their time.
  
  We now have the right documents in place to help manage things for Mom, and our stepfather has been placed in a lovely, affordable care facility (his own children are truly pleased at how nice it is). We have sorted out enough of the financial side to have a manageable plan going forward. The best thing we did when this crisis hit was to call Herb Chavers and to trust the other professionals he referred us to for their assistance. With Herb and the professionals he recommended all working with us, we made a formidable team. We quickly found the best solution and now feel well-prepared to manage what comes next.
  
  I truly can't thank Herb enough. He used a clear, but gentle guiding approach to help us understand what to do at each step along the way. He was warm and patient in dealing with Mom which helped her feel at ease during a difficult time. His fees are very reasonable, and his process very much focused on what his client(s) need. He never recommends unnecessary documents or steps for personal gain. What a wonderful man and a great person to have on our side! His office staff were likewise patient and helpful for any activities that they were involved in.

  Herb has been assisting both my mother and myself for many years. He is extremely knowledgeable and has given us a great deal of sound advice. He is very pleasant and enjoyable to talk to, and helped to create a clear picture from the confusing subject matter of estate planning.
