Norwood Pines Care Center

I have had the pleasure of working with the staff and speaking with the residents at Norwood Pines for six years. The staff is open, caring and willing to work in extremely difficult circumstances. I was always impressed with people that chose the occupation of working with the elderly and people that needed rehabilitation due to physical limitations and disabilities. Now I can add that it is an extreme pleasure to work with so many staff members that chose to put others first even in the face of COVID 19 and what it meant to them personally. In my mind these people are angels on earth and I am grateful to be able to work with them. The residents at Norwood Pines are a joy! I love going to the facility just to see them. There are quite a few residents that are ambulatory and I love seeing them on the back patio singing to the songs that are playing or dancing to the music. So many come to mind just thinking about it. Or even just sitting enjoying the music. I also like to watch them watch the birds that the facility has in the back yard. There is also a bus stop where they can sit and relax with a friend. I think they like Norwood Pines because they have the freedom to be who they are and the staff embraces their limitations with care and compassion.

Former employee - The staff works their collective butts off to take care of a very specialized patient population. I recommend this place to families with a loved one that needs this form of specialized care. When you visit, the place has good bones and a good vibe, go and see.

Norwood Pines is an incredibly special place. I have experienced Alzheimer's and dementia in my own family and understand how incredibly challenging it is as a family. Norwood's staff are so amazing in the way they approach their residents. The Sacramento area is very fortunate to have Norwood Pines Alzheimer's Care Center dedicated to serving the Alzheimer's community!

Norwood Pines, is a wonderful place. My Mom has been there since July 2014, and i have never found her uncomfortable, scared, or in a dangerous predicament. They have a terrific staff, who respects & truly cares for each of their residents. She gets great nutritional meals, bathed 2 times a week, and treated to numerous events. They have musical shows weekly, & daily group classes, which stimulate their brains & are fun too! They have a full rehab, nursing, maintenance, activity, & culinary staff that are quality trained, while being terrific caring folks! I thank God, every day for Norwood Pines, they love & care for my Mom daily.
