Excellent Church for the local area of Apple Valley! All age groups were in attendance.
I love the worship team I serve in the Nursery and everyone is so kind. Pastor Tom is very touching. And our worship leader Matt spoils us
HDC is a friendly place with meaningful worship, contemporary music to deal with the heart issues of all of the facets of life.
It's not a place to put on you Sunday best. It is Christianity "inside out" not "outside in" . A shy pastor speaks to thousands. There are many small groups, where anyone could feel that they fit in
It's a place to get real with Jesus first, then yourself, to have an impact on the world around you, recognizing that people matter most.
The church is apolitical except where scripture is clear. The pastors are gentle even when dealing with tough subjects and will work towards the disarming explosive issues.
Great emphasis is placed (appropriately) on the Great Commision focusing on our own 8-15 people caring for them, living life openly and honestly in service to Christ for them to see.
Good live worship band and friendly people. I think most people would feel comfortable here. This is a satellite campus to the Victorville site and the message is a live broadcast from that location except occasionally when a local pastor will speak. They have events specifically for the Apple Valley community and support the local community with service projects. I have seen projects to support kids with school supplies, food collection for the local homeless shelter, support of local adoption services, and a community trash pickup. Child care is provided for all ages. They have coffee and donuts available with a donation optional. Their is no perfect church, but these people are genuine and helpful and they try to live by what they teach. I find the sermons to be on a solid biblical basis so it's pretty straight shooting, but not of the "turn or burn" variety but more get to know Jesus.
A great local community of Christians! The worship music is always excellent and it's an easy and great place for first-timers without all the pressure to know or do all the right stuff.
