  Good place to camp, hike and watch the stars at night. Most people are considerate, but last time had a guy run his generator all night. No damn camping etiquette and it wasn't hot. Be kind and respectful and enjoy the outdoors.

  An excellent place to go camping. Just be prepared to use rocks and other methods to tie out your tents. Nothing but rock..lol

  Very well kept camground and only $6 a night. Covered picnic tables, fire rings, BBQs at each site. Bathrooms are pit toilets well maintained. Lots of cool hiking trails. Water available but no power. Good Verizon signal here. Play areas for kid's with swings. Can be windy at times! Very few campers when I went on s weekday.

  This is a fantastic camp ground and location! Has quite a few sites, all with their own picnic table with gazebo, fire pit and bar b que. Some are larger than others. Beautiful views and trails. Bathrooms are available and 2 playground for the kids. Far enough from people to be remote yet not so far that it is a big commitment. The information stations have insight on the land, it's animals and history which is great. Do yourself a favor and take the Rainbow Basin tour loop at the fork in the road. It has some of the most gorgeous alluvium fans and land coloration you will ever see! Happy camping!

  I am here in August. Its 100 degrees but I have the campground to myself. This place has a lot of cool rock formations. Its very clean and water is available in the campground. Cell service works too. The roads in were fine. BLM did a good job grading them. I towed a 30 foot fifth wheel doing 35 on the roads with no problems.

Owl Canyon Campground is a first-come first-served campground with 22 campsites (no hookups). Campsites include a picnic table and a fire ring. Permits are needed to remove fossils. If any are found, please leave them in place and notify the BLM Barstow Field Office at (760) 252-6000.
