Very positive experience. 😀
*Had hardware removed, replaced on me left wrist... post vehicle accident.
First Surgery, I fell jamming my hand joint into my wrist joint. It involved pins and a cast. This was during the peak of COVID. Dr Riedel was the only Surgeon that would accept my case. I was the last patient to have Surgery @ the E. Campus in Loma Linda before they stopped surgeries due to the overwhelming surge of COVID patients. Dr Riedel literally saved my hand & wrist. Fast forward to today, I had a Carpel Tunnel release operation on both wrists a couple of hours ago and am able to type in this review. Dr Riedel is the best! Dr Baldwin will first explain what will be done regarding your surgery and what to expect afterwards. Literally every staff member in this office are knowledgeable, professional and prompt (special thanks to RN Jody!). Regarding Mr Ortega's review, Loma Linda is very strict on giving out pain medications.
Surgeons are only supposed to write pain meds for the a limited time after Surgery and that's anywhere. The Surgeon could lose his license to practice because of it. I suggest going to a Pain Medicine Clinic. In closing, don't waste your time going anywhere else. Dr Riedel & staff are truly top shelf. I cannot thank them enough.
Dr. Reidel is wonderful. Scheduling is a disaster. Check-in staff and front desk staff are insincere and impersonable. PA treats you like the most unknowledgeable and unintelligent person in the world. Also, didn’t agree with PA’s opinion.
He operated on my right thumb. It was torn inside and he used advanced technique with mesh. The Physical therapy afterward is unprecedented... three years later. Can’t even see a scar. And I scar badly! Went back this year and he cast my left hand with a torn finger. This time we avoided surgery all together! Both times the same physician assistant at a Med clinic thought I needed to “ exercise” my fingers instead of immobilizing them. He’s really an expert in his field. Has spent much time on phone getting my approved so I could go on planned trip.. having his staff miss lunch to devise a custom brace that spared me from surgery. I’ve HAD a bad surgeon before. This one is awesome. Talented. Trained by THE best and is light years before his time. He’s saved both the right and left hands. Thumb on right. Middle finger on left. He’s the ONLY doc I want working on my hands! I trust him implicitly. I’ve run into the office at 4:55 to have him and staff recast my hand. They go above and beyond duty and has listened to me each and every visit. I fly over from the Big Island of Hawaii just to see him and his excellent staff. Five stars all the way!
