Really sweet staff. Amazing food. Best burger I have ever had. And the apple cider was so yummy

After several years of ignoring this place we asked the dear lady at Granny's Attic and she said it was very good. She was right. I had the special - a cheeseburger with Havarti, grilled onion, and grilled apple slices. Everything was hot, fresh, and good.

This restaurant and bakery is part of the Parrish Pioneer Ranch complex in Oak Glen, although it is independently owned. Oak Glen, as a destination, is a great place, by the way, for an outing, with many choices of food, drink, and desserts in a beautiful mountain setting. I was a little apprehensive, when approaching the front door, because of the San Bernardino County Department of Health's Card in the window, indicating a "B" Rating. I hope it represents a temporary issue. The minimal staff was very friendly. (Speaking of "friendly," the patio out back is dog friendly.) I chose the double cheeseburger over the Dirty McCurdy, which is the signature sandwich, because I do not eat bacon -- or any other form of pork. My burger ($10.21) was truly colossal, in that the one third pound, hand-formed, 100% Angus beef patties overflowed the brioche bun (baked in house). I asked for both fresh and grilled onions, which I recommend. The fries ($2.78) were freshly cut and well-seasoned. There was more food than I could finish. This place is a good choice for a meal when visiting this apple-growing area, still recovering from the devastating El Dorado wildfire. Angus McCurdy's is Recommended.
