Sky Falconry

My cub scouts planned a field trip out to Sky Falconry and had an amazing time. We learned so much about the birds and conservation! I would highly recommend this outing for anyone, young or old.

Four adults and our 15 months old grandson…best adventure ever here in our home town of San Diego! Outstanding hospitality. Great information and gloves on experience. So engaging and personal, we plan to tell all our friends!

I purchased the private raptor experience for my wife’s Christmas present this year. I had high expectations before we arrived based on the the reviews and media I had seen about Sky Falconry. Denies and Kirk far exceeded all
of our expectations, they were exceptional guides, teachers, and host to us!

The drive to their property was stunning! The winding dirt road through the hillside set the tone for the day. By the time we arrived you already had a senses of excitement for what’s coming next and complete peace from the gorgeous backdrop.

We were greeted with a warm welcome by Denise while Kirk was finishing getting the Raptors situated. From there they tag teamed a very fun and interactive Q&A about the birds. They had us glove up and quickly went into one on one time with their beautiful falcon. Demonstrating its unbelievable speed! After some time with the falcon they brought out one of their hawks. We took a stroll through some trails while the hawk swooped in and out from tree to tree as we walked. The path opened up into a beautiful clearing where Denise and Kirk work together to get us some unbelievable photos! They made sure that we had lots of time with the hawk flying from the trees to our glove and back. Denise was a master with the iPhone!

As we finished our walk they told us about ways to help protect these birds and small changes we can all make to be sure they are safe and healthy. They have a small gift shop where we found a few items we had to have to remember this amazing day. If you are thinking about this experience, book it now!

Great experience, highly, highly, highly recommend!!! Great information, educational, fun, fantastic hosts/guides, beautiful views, overall couldn't recommend more. Great gift idea for the wildlife or raptor lover. If you are even remotely into animals and wildlife this is definitely for you.

This was the perfect raptor tour. Our guides knew their stuff and gave clear and concise information about everything from husbandry to conservation. Not only that, they made efforts to know the names of participants, which is no small feat. There was plenty of time to take pictures and see these birds in action in their normal habitat. I left the tour excited to put what I learned into practice. I have already told all my friends about my experience and am encouraging them to join a tour soon; you should too!!!
