Doula Jenn

I cannot speak highly enough of Jenn and her partner Joy. We had originally booked Jenn and loved working with her during my pregnancy to prepare mentally and physically for delivery. I ended up going into labor at 2:30am and things moved very quickly (contractions were 45 seconds apart by 4am) and Jenn was in the middle of another birth. Joy stepped up with no hesitation, met us at the hospital 15 minutes after we got there and supported me through my intense and fast non-medicated VBAC. They are both wonderful, calm and extremely knowledgable doulas and the fact that they support each other's clients is huge!

Jenn was my doula for my first birth this past September 2021 and my partner and I were SO happy that we hired her. She prepared us with great tools to use before and during labor to help ease pain and discomfort. She quickly responded to all of our texts and calls with questions we had as we approached the big day. All of her help leading up to the day of labor was incredibly helpful, but nothing can compare with the support we felt once we were actually in the hospital. Jenn was incredibly hands on and helped comfort me during contractions and while pushing as she coached me to the finish line. When I thought I couldn't go on she really gave me the words and actions I needed to feel confident to go on. She also gave my partner the tools he needed to be a great support person in those crucial moments. I truly loved my birth experience and it would not have been the same without Jenn on our team. I would absolutely hire her again if I decide to have more children in the future!

Doula Jenn is one of the most INCREDIBLE human beings you will ever meet. When I was 8 weeks pregnant, I knew I wanted a doula, so I started to do research for when I was considered medically in the clear. (13 weeks) The day I turned 13 weeks, I contacted Jenn and luckily she was able to take me on. Jenn was so helpful throughout my pregnancy. I would send her small updates and she would respond promptly. Whenever we met face to face to discuss my birth plan, pain management, etc, she spent a long time with me answering my questions and relieving my anxieties. She was always so kind and patient with me! I had a very structured birth plan, and a clear idea of exactly how I wanted it to go, but as they say, God laughs at plans. Nothing- I mean nothing went right. I was in prodromal labor for about two weeks, and I contacted Jenn frequently during this time. Again, she immediately answered texts, never hesitated to have a phone call with me, she checked in with me consistently. I really felt her support. I was induced, and the plan was to call her once I was dilated enough. That never happened, and instead I was looking at a c-section within a few hours of a conversation with my doctor. I was devastated and asked Jenn to join me at the hospital at that point. Jenn came to the hospital immediately to be with me after we talked a bit on the phone. Jenn helped me come to peace with my new reality, she was a great comfort and source of support. Jenn was my only support person there and I couldn’t have asked for more. I received three epidurals, and kept running into issues with them not working on a very high level of pitocin. Only a couple hours from being wheeled into the OR, I was wrecked in pain, to the point where it was hard to speak, I was extremely disoriented and uncomfortable. Jenn helped communicate to the hospital staff on my behalf when I seriously could not. She helped vouch for me when the hospital staff was not being diligent enough. She was truly truly there for me. She stayed with me throughout the rest of my labor, my daughters delivery, and until I could be wheeled to post-partum. I am convinced Jenn was my guardian angel that day. I could not imagine going through my daughters very intense and very difficult labor/delivery without her. Both emotionally and physically she offered unwavering support. Jenn has a special place in my heart, and in the story of my daughters journey into this world. I have an abundance of gratitude for her. Jenn’s passion for her work, her experience and knowledge truly shows and shines through. She has a gift, and I was blessed to have her. She was certainly my guardian angel throughout my experience as I’m sure she has been to many women throughout her career.

Jenn was an excellent doula. She helped from the pregnancy to postpartum. She gave me really good advice during my early delivery and was there during postpartum care. Due to COVID she was not with me at the hospital but she made up for that in postpartum care advice which was crucial to my sanity as a first time mother. Don’t hesitate to hire her!

My husband and I loved working with Jenn! She was respectful of our time during initial appointments and was quick to respond to our needs via email or phone. What we loved most about her is that she stayed incredibly calm and present during the birth of our son. It felt like Jenn, my husband, and I were all part of a tight-knit team that supported each other during my labor. Jenn is incredibly knowledgeable in all things labor and baby related! Because of her, we were able to experience the delivery we had hoped for!
