(April 15, 2019, 12:05 pm)Hotel is decent. Breakfast included with basic fruits, eggs and sausages, waffles. 14 min. Drive to Legoland and other Carlsbad attractions. The only big concern is that hotel is next to highway and gets pretty noisy at night. Otherwise it's a good place.

(February 3, 2019, 10:45 am)I was nervous because well, you never know! I am by myself on a work trip & when I pulled up in my rental I was shocked at the size! The neighborhood is nice, I feel safe. The room is super cute!! I walked in & smiled because its perfect for me! The bed is super comfortable, with down pillows, too. I'm brewing coffee now & will go eat breakfast soon. I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 because it was raining & I had to walk outside & all to get to my room. The staff is wonderful!! My keysbwouldnt work & I called. The girl came all the way up & brought me new keys.

(January 17, 2019, 4:00 pm)I paid a little more to stay here over the holidays, but so glad I did! The neighborhood is great for walking my dogs, plenty of sidewalk and grass, and the hotel usually had doggie bags available. My room was very clean, comfortable, and quiet! All room electronics worked, and staff were friendly and available at all hours. Breakfast was a bit of a crush, which surprised me seeing as it was Christmas Eve and Day... I had elsewhere to go, but dashed in for coffee and dashed out. It's not very close to the beach or restaurants if you're walking, but close enough if you don't mind jumping back in your car after a long drive... that and the elevated price were my reasons for the 4 stars rather than 5.

(November 9, 2018, 1:34 pm)I give this a 5 star rating because it is one of the top hotels in the category of affordable hotels. The breakfast was very nice, a fruit basket with the standard apples, oranges and bananas was available -snaps for putting out ripe and not green bananas- there were hot eggs and bacon or sausage as well as waffle makers and other breakfast bread. Juice, milk, tea coffee and yogurt were available as well. The rooms were very clean, although small. Linens were fresh and new and the room was fresh smelling, not because of air freshener but because it was clean! The beds were comfortable and the pillows fluffy. The furniture was well kept and modern. Although it can’t compete with a luxury hotel in terms of style, space and fancy fixtures, it CAN compete in cleanliness, comfort and nice amenities. Best of all, the staff and management are friendly, professional and well organized. We appreciated that they had our complicated paperwork ready to go when we arrived!
