We've been coming to Joan for a while now for our daughter and now our son who are both profoundly deaf and bilaterally implanted. We've struggled a lot with our oldest who had started off at Providence with some really bad mapping and bad advice. The first day we visited Joan we saw signs of the implants working and have been working towards that goal ever since. PM

For our son, we actually went with Jones recommendation to use Dr Kari at UCSD. The experience was so much better than over at CHOC. Dr. Kari and the UCSD staff were a lot more understanding and receptive to our situation. They also seem to care a lot more about our son's comfort both at the hospital as well as after the procedure. Again something we thank Joan for since we had nothing to compare our first experience with over at CHOC.

Great audiologist! Our profoundly deaf, bilaterally implanted son has been coming here for years to have his cochlear implants mapped. Joan is the best.

Best place you can land your feet on. I'm not kidding if your son or daughter
Are in need of a fantastic Audiologist you found the place.
Our son has benefited from Joan's professional services from the first session we attended. We were recommended to hear by our verbal speech therapist another fabulous professional (Sylvia Rotfleisch).
Our previous experience was detrimental to our son's progress and we needed someone that actually produce results and she did on the first time within minutes we saw changes on the sounds our son a bilateral recipient of cochlear implants was able to produce "just amazing".
We had been told by others that changes did not occur right away that
it can take weeks or months, not true! don't believe it!
Your kid deserves a chance and there is no time to wait!
