  Really appreciated instructor Owen and owner Jason - good instruction, adapted to the different skills and speed of learning of the three of us in a small group lesson. We all got up! But I think you’d have fun even if you never got upright. Very fun, good workout, recommend them.

  I booked a 2 hour lesson for my 10 year old daughter and 6 year old son. Daniel was their instructor and he was really great with the kids. My 6 year old was excited and went for it but as soon as he went under the first time he was done. We kind of expected that. Daniel spent the next hour getting my daughter to surf and staying afloat. He then cared enough to reapproach my son towards the end to get him to go out a few more rounds and he was successful. My daughter spent the next day boogie boarding and told me that she would not know how to catch a wave if she did not have the surf lesson. It also made her a lot more comfortable in going further out into the ocean on her own.

  It was awesome! Daniel did a great job teaching my new wife and I the proper moves on the beach before we hit the water. It was a really choppy day, but he did a great job guiding us in the water until we got used to it. It was a blast. Came with board, wetsuit and even photos. We did the 2-hour intro lesson. Would recommend to anyone who has not surfed and wants to give it a try and to anyone who is re-introducing themselves to it.

  Jason was an incredible teacher, coach, and inspiration both for surfing and for stuff I needed to process as a person. He gave me practical habits that I can incorporate into my everyday life and be the most I can be. Plus, learning to surf was so much fun and Jason did an awesome job taking out the intimidation of it all. I had fun from the very start! Highly recommended. If I could give an extra few stars, I would!

  I am so happy with the surf lesson we had today! Jason organized our plan to find the perfect place and time. We had so much fun! The instructor Daniel showed us some tricks, and we got better within 2 hours of the lesson! Thank you so much! I totally recommend lessons with Encinitas Surf Lessons!
