Diegueño Country School is the BEST!!! We tried our local public school, another nearby private school, and thankfully, finally found Diegueño. Our two sons have been here for years (one from Kinder through now 3rd and the other from 1st through now 5th). We love the school, classmates, other families, teachers, administrators, staff, curriculum, classrooms, trees, grass, and playground. Our sons are thriving socially and excelling across the board academically. Screentime is limited and intentional. The curriculum is top notch. Students are taught rigorous, challenging academic material - though not overwhelming or overly stressful. Diegueño values and grows extraordinary character and confidence in students. The teachers are passionate, committed and happy. At first we were a bit worried the school may be a bit small, but this has not been the case at all: the students all play and have fun with classmates of all ages (K-6) on the playground, during recess, etc. Diegueño is the best of all worlds. This school joyfully teaches students to think, write, speak, learn and work well with others. Diegueño students love to learn, and they are prepared for advanced classes in whatever middle and high schools they would like to attend. We wake every day so thankful our children can attend this dream school!
Although I had some fairness issues, I found the educational experience to be sublime. Very nice teachers, nice school overall, and nice extracurricular activities. I constantly reflect on all that I learned and how close the community is.
